Week 5 - Day 3

Today was another strange work day. I had my annual appraisal and after that I got sent home. Good thing, too, because I was feeling the burn CRAZILY in my thighs all day after that elliptical challenge I did yesterday. My muscles were so sore! But, that's a good thing :) So after passing out on the couch watching "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus", I decided I would take this whole nap situation to my room and nap it out like a champ. I had a very nice two hour nap and I felt completely refreshed for my night at the gym.

After getting to the gym, I again, tried something new. Well a few new things... First of all, I wore a sweatshirt while working out and mother of god.. I was DRENCHED after working out. Second of all, I did my bike tension differently. I kicked it up a notch... I went from Level 7 tension, to level 8 tension, to level 9 tension, back to 8, back to 7, and then cool down in 5 minute increments. THAT was a nice burn. And lastly, I did the Arc machine with arms (the elliptical/stepper combo) and that thing kicked my damn ass. I was completely soaked in sweat after working out. It was the best I had ever felt after working out! So to summarize:

Bike - 25 minutes plus a 5 minute cool down
Arc w/ Arms - 10 minutes

Yes, it was a shorter workout tonight but truthfully, I think it was the most effective workout that I've done. I'm going to try something else that's new this week, I'm going to try going for three days but on Friday, going for 2 hours as opposed to one. We shall see how this progresses or hinders the weight loss...

Day 3 is done, 4 more days to go!

*In sad news... Rest in Peace, Davy Jones. My heart is breaking over the news. You will truly be missed. :( *
