Since today is Monday, y'all know what that means... it's time for a weigh in! I woke up, went into the bathroom, stepped on the scale and there it was... a different number than last week... a smaller number :) I have lost an additional 3lbs! I'm telling you, seeing the results and feeling the best I have in my entire life is just so... amazing. With this additional weight loss, I've lost a grand total of 7.3lbs thus far. The greatest thing about that? It's no longer "30lbs to go" it's now only "22.7lbs to go". That's almost out of the 20s and into the teens! You have no idea how exciting that is for me to say. I'm just so overwhelmed with emotion, in the best of ways, of course! :)
But enough about the mushy-gooey stuff...
Today was a solo exercise day. After grabbing a quick breakfast and fixing up my morning tea, I headed out to the gym. Now, call me a noob if you will, but I had no idea machines had 'levels' you could increase or decrease to make the work out harder/easier. I felt like such a butthead when I discovered this on Saturday when I was working out. So since this new discovery, I tried something different when I was on the bike. Every 5 minutes I increased in a level then after the middle, i decreased by a level. It was something like this- First 5 minutes: Level 6, Second 5 minutes: Level 7, Middle 5 minutes: Level 8, Second to last 5 minutes: Level 7, Last 5 minutes: Level 6 then level 1 for the 5 minute cool down. Dear god, let me tell you... I will be doing this every time because I literally sweat so much that it soaked straight through my shirt onto the back of the seat. Don't worry, I made sure I wiped that thing down real well after using it! After that beast of a work out, it was on to the elliptical. I'm still comfortable sitting at 10 minutes on the elliptical, I'm going to try and get it up to 15 minutes this week, if I can. So to summarize:
Bike - 25 minutes (at different levels) plus a 5 minute cool down.
Elliptical - 10 minutes plus a 5 minute cool down.
Day 1 of week 2 is done, 6 more days to go!
