What's On the Menu? An Introduction...

So I've decided that I'm going to have a segment on the blog called 'What's on the menu?' that will feature what I have eaten for the day and share awesome recipes with all of you. Some days I think I will do the whole day, others I may just post what I've done for one meal in particular. I'm new to this whole 'healthier' alternatives and I know for someone who is not necessarily used to eating this way, it's hard to know what actually tastes good and what actually tastes like you're eating plants.

'What's on the menu?' will be a feature that will help me be 100% honest about any new, healthy recipes so hopefully I can encourage my readers to eat healthier as well.

I've already found some great recipes... what are some of your favorite recipes?

  1. I have no favorite healthy recepies. I started reading a book called Skinny Bitch. It's a way of life change instead of diet. It pushes a veg/organic diet and I'm okay with that. But when they started mentioning fasting as a way of scoring 'brownie points' I stopped reading. But it did make me look at meat differently and want to try other ways to get protein. It has a ton of different products in there. If you're interested I can let you know. I don't get bored with eating the same thing every day so I tend to stick with the same things.

I cut up green peppers and put them in an open tupperware bowl in the fridge, that way when I'm bored and open it to look I see them and grab a few. If you like tuna, I know an awesome way to prep it. When I was working with a trainer she told me to write down everything I put in my mouth. From drinks to cough drops. It makes you more aware.
